Gipsys for sale  

1961 Austin Gipsy Model G2M10 Series Two (short wheel base).  Serial Number 4373.  One of about 21,000 produced; very rare and hard-to-find in this condition.  4 cylinder, 2199 cc motor model A70. 4-speed and high & low transfer case.  21,000 original miles. 

Almost 100% original including paint and stored indoors.  Recent work: All new brake hydraulic cylinders, new brake& clutch master cylinders plus clutch slave cylinder.  Comes with extra parts, sales brochures, and repair manuals. 

I am the third owner of this vehicle.  It was originally purchased in 1962 from British Motor Cars in Seattle.  It was sold to a Toyota mechanic in 1974, and I bought it from him in 1987.

HFX 228E 1967 Austin Gipsy Recovery Vechicle
Sold new to Esso Petroleum of Fawley Southampton for site use only. In 1971 sold to Webbers Car Sales of Chard in Somerset who in turn sold her to a local garage where she was converted to a recovery vechicle. She is fitted with a Harvey Frost Jib and Turner Winch.
Had been in retirement for the last 11 or so years and alot of time and money has been spent on her to get her back on the road but keeping her as oriiginal as possible. She has the BMC 2.2 petrol engine and you can she is "Still in her working
Clothes".
